Conference Modern Metallurgy - Iron and Steelmaking 2024
25. - 27.9.2024
The main objective of this event is to promote the exchange of knowledge, experience and presentation of the latest trends in metallurgy. For many years, this conference has provided an international forum for people from science, industry and experts from related fields to come together to discuss current issues in the industry.

These are mainly issues related to the production of iron and steel, non-ferrous metals and, in addition, such currently pressing and topical issues as industrial energy and waste treatment and recycling. This is linked to the primary task of the metal industry, which is decarbonisation in the coming years.

One of the undoubted strengths of the conference is the harmonious linking of the knowledge of the scientific community with industrial practice. Such integration allows a comprehensive view of the development of the metalworking industry, taking into account the issues of technological development, environmental protection, waste generation and management and energy saving.

Student Scientific Specialist Conference METALURGIA 2024
10.4.2024
The 30th anniversary edition of the conference continued the concept of the successful previous editions. The main mission of the conference, besides presenting scientific and professional works of students, is to broaden their knowledge through professional and qualified discussion. In addition to the students of FMMR TUKE, the conference was also attended by students from other colleges and universities. The aim of the conference is the development of creative thinking of university students and the ability to present and defend their professional knowledge.

FMMR Doctoral Students Day - METALURGIA Junior 2024
6. - 7.6.2024
The reason for organizing this conference is to give young scientific collaborators the opportunity to present the results of their own scientific activities and to defend their scientific views and attitudes in a pleasant working atmosphere. The Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling has kept the tradition of organizing the event in different variations for full-time doctoral students until today. We are extremely pleased to be hosting the 21st annual METALURGIA JUNIOR 2024 conference once again in the beautiful surroundings of Herlany.

Conference Modern Metallurgy - Iron and Steelmaking 2023
27. - 29.9.2023
The aim of this conference is to create a platform for the presentation of the latest knowledge and trends in science and technical development in the field of metallurgy. Traditionally, it is a meeting of experts from scientific and research institutions as well as representatives of industrial practice at an international level.

The conference provides an opportunity to learn about the latest trends in iron and steel production, as well as other attractive areas related to energy transformations in industry and the fields of non-ferrous and non-metallic materials. This edition is expanded to include new topical themes on waste treatment and recycling and the decarbonisation of the metallurgical industry.

The Iron and Steelmaking 2023 conference offers, in addition to its high professional level, a space for the interconnection of the scientific community with professional practice. In the technical sessions, in which the conference follows the traditions of previous Iron and Steelmaking conferences, new results of research, development, production and use of raw material feedstocks, as well as iron, steel, ferroalloys and refractories, will be presented, taking into account the ecological aspects of production. Other areas of focus of the conference are energy transformations in industry, non-ferrous and non-metallic materials, simulation of metallurgical processes, as well as the area of foundry engineering. The conference is also expanded to include other highly topical topics dealing with waste treatment and recycling and decarbonisation of the metallurgical industry.
